for her indelible, creative, and restructuring
work with MOLP for the Houston Bar Association
where she serves numerous years as Chair,
member, and mentor. Additionally, Ms.
Higgins served as President of the Association
of Law Firm Diversity Professionals, the
State Bar of Texas Board of Directors,
the State Bar of Texas Diversity Task
Force, and Texas Minority Counsel Program’s
Steering Committee and Racial Diversity
In the Profession of The State Bar of
Texas. She has been recognized by The
Texas Lawyer as one of the Best 50 In-House
Counsel, Texas Lawyer’s Extraordinary
Women in the Law, the Sarah T. Hughes
Award from the State Bar of Texas’,
the Texas Executive Women On the Move
Award, and the Minority Corporate Counsel
